Terms of Use (End User License Agreement)

Welcome to SafeToSpend (“the app”, “we”, “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Service description

SafeToSpend is a budgeting and cash-flow management tool for freelancers, digital nomads, and commission earners. It smooths the volatile income you enter manually into a steady virtual paycheck and tells you how much you can safely spend each day. The app does not connect to your bank account.

2. Important disclaimer: not financial, investment, or tax advice

SafeToSpend is solely a budgeting and cash-flow management tool. It does not constitute, and should not be relied upon as, any form of financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice.

• All numbers shown in the app (including “safe to spend today”, buffer balance, virtual paycheck, runway months, etc.) and any explanation or suggestion from the AI cash-flow coach are for reference and general information only, computed from the data you enter yourself, and do not constitute professional advice tailored to your circumstances.
• We make no guarantee of any financial outcome and are not responsible for any spending, saving, or other financial decisions you make based on the app.
• Consult a licensed financial advisor, accountant, or tax professional before making any significant financial decision.

3. AI features

The app includes optional AI cash-flow coach and receipt OCR features, powered by a third-party AI model accessed through our self-hosted server-side gateway (see the Privacy Policy for data handling). AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete and is for reference only. Your in-app consent is required before first using any AI feature.

4. User conduct

You may not: abuse, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt the app; upload unlawful or infringing content; or use the app for any illegal purpose. If we detect violations, we may suspend or terminate your account.

5. Subscriptions and payments

• SafeToSpend Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly ($4.99/month) and yearly ($29.99/year). Prices are shown in USD; the actual price is as displayed in the App Store / Google Play.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID / Google account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription auto-renews within 24 hours before the end of the current period unless you cancel beforehand.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in the App Store (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions) or Google Play (Profile → Payments & subscriptions). After cancellation, you keep Pro access until the end of the current paid period.
• Refunds follow Apple’s and Google’s respective refund policies; we do not double-charge.

6. Intellectual property

The financial data you enter belongs to you. The SafeToSpend app interface, brand assets, icons, and underlying technology belong to the SafeToSpend team and may not be copied or used commercially without permission.

7. Account security

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. If you detect unauthorized use, contact us immediately.

8. Service changes and termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the service (or any part of it) at any time. We will notify you in-app in advance of material changes.

9. Warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you in-app of material changes and update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
